Our vineyard only covers a small part of our 40 hectare property. The remainder is covered with beautiful granite rocks and eucalypt forest, including a number of stunning twisted gum trees, from which our vineyard name is derived.
These trees are known as Mountain Orange Gums (Eucalyptus Prava) and have a beautiful orange coloured bark which looks fantastic in spring after they have shed a layer of bark
In early spring the rocky outcrops come alive with an amazing display of delicate wild flowers.
Our property is perched high on a ridge overlooking the Wyberba valley below. There are breathtaking views in many directions, particularly to the south west (see photo to the right).
Our bush land is essentially untouched, forming part of an important wildlife corridor with Girraween National Park, which is located approximately one kilometre from our back boundary.
The bush is teaming with kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, possums and a myriad of bird life.
